The anxiety I felt the very first time we were going on holiday and leaving our pets and our home in the hands of a complete stranger was quite high. However it did give me a valuable insight in to what I like, and what I thought could be improved upon when setting up Pads and Wags years later.
I’m a 33 year old, mother of two, I love walking, animals, sewing, crochet, and making a really good spreadsheet!
As a pet owner I have two loveable labradors, Bonnie who is utterly rapacious and has taught me to manage what food and where it’s located to the nth degree and Chief who’s an absolute softie to people but dog reactive. This has taught me a great deal in managing walks with reactive dogs! Then I have two cats, Reggie and Bilbo. Gorgeous, friendly boys who are always curled up in the comfiest bed or acting as if they have never been fed!
I’ve been running Pads and Wags since 2018, and have met some absolutely lovely owners and fantastic pets! Around 2020 I slowed right down and stuck to my regular clients whilst I focused more on motherhood, and I’m so glad I did but during 2026 I just felt the urge to get back to it. I absolutely love Pads and Wags and I wish to see it grow. I have completed my pet first aid course, I have an up to date DBS (I refresh once a year), and I have insurance with Pet Business Insurance. I’m also currently completing an online course for canine enrichment via the BCCS.
